Wedding Dog Sitter was founded in 2010 by Elisa Guidarelli. After unsuccessfully searching for someone to take care of her dogs on her wedding day, she realized that such a profession did not exist in Italy. This inspired her to embark on a new adventure, introducing an innovative, well-structured, and unique service. In doing so, she created an entirely new profession and category in Italy, raising awareness that dogs are truly part of the family!
Wedding Dog Sitter® quickly made a strong entrance into the market, achieving incredible success in no time. The service has been highly appreciated by couples across Italy—and even internationally, with requests coming from abroad. It has also gained significant media attention, appearing on major television programs and in national magazines.

When you want to have your furry friend with you on your wedding day, you have to have a professional next to you who will become your 4-legged friend's best friend for that day, so that you will be left relaxed and without any further worries. And so it was for Punto and me on July 31 a few years ago: Elisa and her staff were impeccable, as well as wonderful, and I am not exaggerating when I say that there was instant love at first sight! Punto even managed to take a nap in Elisa's arms while waiting for the ceremony to end! A choice I would make again a thousand and one times, because Wedding Dog Sitter is not just a service, it is a cuddle for you and the furry one, it is a guarantee in everything and Elisa is unique in her work❤️! It has been a few years since I got married. We had our puppy for a few months and thanks to Elisa and her staff , we were able to enjoy a day together with him without any thought for our furry . We were sure that he would be fine and that he would also participate in the festivities followed and guided lovingly in everything by Elisa An unforgettable day that we were able to share with the newcomer and of which we have an album full of beautiful photos from the “ Thor's point of view” taken by the Wedding dog sister staff! A day of celebration with our furry one all beautifully prepared and happy. Elisa had a lot of attention and care in the details and was very empathetic with the puppy and everyone . I was very very happy to have had the opportunity to experience this completely and carefree. Thank you again Elisa ❤️
Emanuele and his staff allowed us to experience our big day together with Wendy and Nala, our furry little girls. Thanks to them we were able to live this fantastic day with serenity and with the knowledge that we were entrusting our puppies to professionals, who understood our but most of all their needs. Attentive to every detail even under the 4pm heat they carried them so they wouldn't walk, practically cuddled the whole time. At the end of the night when they brought them back to us they wanted to stay with them 🤣. We could not have entrusted our little girls to anyone else. Thank you 🐶

Elisa Guidarelli
Elisa Guidarelli, a Roman entrepreneur born in 1983, has extensive experience in the dog industry.
She began her career as a groomer, later becoming a dog trainer, and has been working in the field since 1999.
She grew up surrounded by unspoiled nature, thanks to her parents, who spent six years living aboard their sailboat, Antares, sailing around the Indian Ocean.
This unique upbringing helped her develop a deep empathy and sensitivity toward animals, allowing her to connect with them effortlessly.
I started this adventure in 2010, when everyone laughed at me, saying no one would ever bring their dog to their wedding—especially in Italy! But I wanted to change the world and show everyone that dogs are part of the family, so I didn’t let their doubts discourage me.
Wedding Dog Sitter was born from the combination of my professional experience as a dog trainer and my own perspective as a bride-to-be. I knew exactly what was needed to ensure a dog’s well-being on such a special day, as well as the emotions a bride feels when she wants her beloved pet by her side—calm, happy, and cared for. The top priority has always been the dog’s well-being, backed by my 20+ years of experience working with dogs.
I created Wedding Dog Sitter—becoming the first and only professional Wedding Dog Sitter in Italy, and even in Europe.
Since 2010, we have cared for over 1,500 dogs of all breeds, sizes, and needs at more than 900 weddings. From this experience, I have developed a unique, tested, and guaranteed method for welcoming, interacting with, entertaining, and managing dogs at weddings.
It’s a method that is almost scientific in its effectiveness, ensuring that every dog is happy and at ease. Our empathetic and playful approach allows dogs to feel serene and enjoy the experience alongside their family.
We don’t impose strict behavioral rules, obedience training, or force dogs into unnatural situations. Instead, we care for them as you would—but with the expertise gained from handling hundreds of weddings and countless dogs with different personalities and needs. Our extensive experience is unmatched.
Even after so many years, the values and principles of Wedding Dog Sitter remain unchanged: we take care of your dog as if you were doing it yourself.
To offer the best service in Italy, my team and I undergo continuous training, including in the veterinary field, sparing no expense. This allows us to provide couples who choose us with absolute safety and peace of mind.
